12 abril

Español 2: page 155 act 9 for 5 points, gustar/crossword sheet for tarea. Study the words on the middle and right hand side of page 167.

Español 3: We added querer + que to the reasons for using subjunctive in the second clause.  Yo quiero que Sra. P......  and Mis padres quieren que....."" were our sample sentences.  We watched the second part of El Norte.  Study the vocabulary words on page 145 and memorize the phrases bottom center.

Español 4:  Period 7 went over the tarea, established that "maybe and ëven if"do not have 2 subjects and 2 verbs, began a translation sheet, played round 3 of Monopolio for 25 points.  Tarea is to read pages 9 and 10 of Pepino and answer any pertinent questions.

Español 5: Watched episode 3 of Maria and made note of changes in the story.  Get notes upon return.  2 questions that need to be answered by Tuesday: What is Maria's job in the book and why can't doña Lupe/Gracia read to herself?  Tarea is to read through chapter 13 of the book.

Español 2: Notes on Gustar verbs from page 155.  Finish verb worksheet for tarea, both sides.

Español 3: Pd 3, review of subjunctive, translation worksheet in class.  The test on this chapter is the 3rd of May and includes translating sentences, multi-choice with vocabulary, subjunctive or not.

Español 4, Pd 1, Went over the answers to the subjunctive homework.  Pop quiz on chapter 2 of Pepino!  Played Monopolio for 25 points. No class tomorrow.  Assignment for Monday, read first 2 pages of chapter 3 Pepino an do the first half of sections III-2-11 and III-2-13.

Español 5: Quiz on Pepino 6-9.  Watch Episodio 2 and make notes of changes in characters and story. Continued reading in groups. For Monday, read through chapter 13.

10 de abril

Español 2: Test on DOPs was taken on Tuesday.  Now, on to Indirect Objects!

Español 3: Students absent for the test on Friday need to come in during study halls or after school to make it  up. A crossword was given for homework on Friday.  Notes were given on the Subjunctive Monday and Tuesday.  Use pages 10-12 of the verb packet to review all that we have learned.  The test on the chapter will be at the end of the month and include sentence translation and multiple choice for all of the words on page 145.

Español 4: Work through the Subjunctive section of the Verb Tenses workbook.  Finish reading chapter 2 of   Pepino and answer all questions.

Espanol 5: For Thursday, read through chapter 9 of Eres tú María and summarize, noting characters and plot lines.

Week of April 8th

Spanish 2:  You have a test on Tuesday!  Using Direct Object Pronouns and translating English to Spanish with vocabulary on restaurants and food.

Spanish 3: If you were not here on Friday, you need to come in during a study hall or after school to take the 2.1 test.  We started on the new chapter vocabulary on page 163 on Friday.

Spanish 4:  The 4th section in the Verb Tenses workbook is due the next time I see you AND we read the first chapter of Pepino: La momia and answered the worksheet questions.

Spanish 5: You are to read through chapter 5 of Eres tu Maria and create 10 questions based on the reading.
